A full 67% of all proceeds raised stays right here locally, where our board directs the funding toward youth hunting opportunities and wildlife conservation.
At the national level, SCI has long focused on conserving the “3 D’s”: Deer, Ducks, and Turkey. Our chapter proudly supports that mission, with a strong emphasis on getting more youth involved in hunting and the outdoors.
One of our major long-term goals is to establish a dedicated youth hunting lease. A place specifically set aside to introduce kids to hunting, especially those who would never otherwise have the opportunity. We want to open doors for young people regardless of their background or circumstances, and give them experiences they’ll never forget.

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Safari Club International (SCI) Gulf Coast Chapter, a fully recognized chapter of SCI and a group built by people who genuinely care about hunting, wildlife conservation, and protecting our outdoor heritage.
There aren’t many organizations I personally connect with, but SCI is different. Their mission aligns perfectly with what I believe in: preserving hunting traditions and ensuring wildlife thrives for generations to come.
Our Chapter’s Mission & Goals
As a chapter, we’re committed to hosting at least three in-person events each year, including shooting sports days, pheasant hunts, and an annual banquet. These events aren’t just for fun, they’re designed to raise funds that directly impact our local community.
Safari Club International defends the freedom to hunt and drives wildlife conservation around the world. No other organization matches SCI’s reach, combining a Washington based advocacy team with more than one hundred fifty chapters representing millions of hunters.
SCI fights for hunters in state legislatures, Congress, and the courts, tackling everything from predator management to ammunition restrictions and import bans. Through the Hunter Advocacy Action Center, SCI mobilizes a national network of grassroots hunters to protect our traditions.
The SCI Foundation strengthens this work through conservation grants, youth education, shooting sports instruction, scholarships, family focused outdoor programs, and community outreach.
